What if we can improve the delivery of oral vaccinations to maximize the efficiency of absorption?

Since the eighteenth century, humans have been administering antigenic material to stimulate the immune system and protect the body from infection. Vaccination is not only the most effective method of preventing communicable diseases; it is something that most people will experience multiple times in their lives. Vaccines have had a pronounced effect worldwide but there is still great potential for improvement to make them more effective and convenient, less invasive and better able to meet the needs of some of the most disadvantaged communities around the world.

Ingenuity Lab is working to develop novel vaccine delivery mechanisms that will greatly enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Funded by the Gates Foundation, this project will study the protective role of polymer as a influenza vaccine encapsulate.
